Pictured is the small sweet and sour chicken with rice/peas, large jerk chicken with rice/peas, and the empanada! All the food I have tried thus far is amazing and full of flavors you can’t get elsewhere in Troy! The guava empanadas are my favorite! Very filling meals and lovely staff! They are investing in the community which is a plus!

Do not skip this place. Parking is easy if you drive around the block. It’s small inside, and take only but this place is the epitome of authentic flavorful Spanish food. The menu is written on a chalk board in English, though You will have to order In Spanish (unless the daughter is there - she speaks English and is really helpful) or you can pull out the google translate app, type in your order, translate it to Spanish and show the employee. It’s so worth it, the food is out of this world. Also check out their other establishment right next door mi casa market! Great addition to the Troy community

It’s been 4 years since I moved away now and I still dream of this place. The owner makes you feel like you’re home and taken care of. I ate at this place every day for weeks during lockdowns and it brought me joy during a time of isolation. Their roast pork is incredible.

We ordered Mi Casa catering for our Black Friday dinner. We didn’t want more turkey and wanted to spice things up. MI Casa did the trick. We asked for a milder style of jerk chicken, rice and plantains for our 11 guests. A reasonable $115 later and we are all stuffed with the spice leaving an enjoyable tingle on our lips. One guest described the jerk chicken as challenging spice but satisfying. An extremely authentic Caribbean meal. We will be ordering again. Also, we picked up at the mi casa market down the street as the owner operates an authentic Latin influenced downtown grocery store there. What a beautiful space for a market. A gem in the city.
